Individual counseling is provided using the primary approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT can help both adults and children identify problematic thoughts that lead to faulty beliefs and maladaptive behavior. These thoughts contribute to symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. Once identified, CBT can help the client to learn/practice different techniques to help shift these thoughts in order to improve mood and increase well-being. Counseling for adolescents/teens also includes supportive and insight-oriented treatment while remaining sensitive to their struggles with life's many milestones (puberty, peer pressure, relationships, etc.).
